Hi my name is Betsy, I am autistic and got ADHD(AUHD) . I also have high anxiety. I get overwhelmed really easily in big places like shopping centres. Having a therapy dog right by my side when I do get overwhelmed or anxious will be everything I need . I am now going to tell you a bit about what happened over the past year. I joined year 7 in 2024 in a main stream school. Only a few weeks in I couldn’t cope with the environment. I stopped going to school completely. So my amazing auntie helped me home school. I did go in to school 3 times a week for an hour for wellbeing. I really struggled at home schooling and wished I could go back to school. My mom and dad was FIGHTING for a place for an independent specialist school what are so hard to get in to . So now I’m in year 8 and now go to a special school! But every morning I still get anxious about going to school so the dog would help me in the morning. The money raised will go towards the cost of a good breed of dog, one where the line breeding has produced successful therapy dogs , plus the training and certification for the dog.
