Bethany and Her Family

“Bethany Anderson is a fighter. As a 17 year old honor student at Seminole High School, she has straight A’s and a spotify playlist called “I’m a senior?!” As a concurrent student she doesn’t need an English credit, but she took AP Literature just because she loves to read. She accepted a scholarship from ECU for the fall and plans to share a dorm room with her childhood best friend, Nicki. After college, she wants to be an English teacher, an author, and an editor. She’s a bright girl with a bright future, but on February 24, her whole life changed in the blink of an eye. After taking her senior pictures, Bethany was in a head-on collision that left her with multiple skull fractures, a spinal injury, a broken femur, a broken ankle, and a grade 3 traumatic brain injury. After weeks in a coma in the ICU and many close calls, she has been transferred into palliative care at Bethany Children’s Health Center where we pray she continues to fight for the future she has worked so hard for.
