Mentoring America x Beta Theta Pi
Donation protected
Hi, our names are Michael Giannetta and John Castanoli, the philanthropy chairmen of Beta Theta Pi at the University of Miami. Our fraternity has partnered with Mentoring America for our charity of choice this semester. Their mission is to slowly minimize the gap between underfunded and funded high schools by allowing students to gain knowledge and guidance for post-secondary education. Based out of Miami and working closely with the University of Miami, college students guide and mentor these high school students in the post-secondary application process. The core purpose of Mentoring America is to inspire and motivate high school students to post-secondary options, mentor and assist these students throughout their process of post-secondary applications, and ensure that benchmarks and milestones are met in order to help these oppressed students achieve their goals.
As college students, we know how arduous this process is for all students, and we want to be able to help those who need assistance in reaching college or university. This semester’s philanthropy is dedicated to the students within our community who do not have the resources to achieve post-secondary education independently. All proceeds through our efforts this philanthropy week will directly go to and benefit Mentoring America.
