Bestwood Road Sports and Social Club

Firstly, I’d like to say that I am absolutely gutted to be asking for help and have been trying to deal with this before it got to this stage but unfortunately we are where we are.

I promise three things that The Railway Club will be what it should be for everyone, every penny will be accounted for moving forward and the negligence of the past will not happen should we get the support required

I am asking for any support possible even if it’s only a single penny because every penny will help us now.

This place has been what I grew up in from a young boy seeing the likes of Doug ruling with pretty much an iron fist (I mean no negative by that) and Les being the stewed all assisted by the likes of Don, Arther, my grandad Jim and many more like Chris and Brian Fisher.

I have many memories whether its from the good old days with Pat (my oldest daughters middle name is Patricia after Pat) and Sue doing the shows and me having to be dressed in what ever silly outfit they fancied or loads of us as kids playing football on the car park with a plastic bottle and having to hide under cars if we set Doug’s alarm off.

In addition and most importantly to me I haven’t seen this place pretty much drive my mamma insane and in my opinion a large part in her having a stroke due to the stresses caused. The amount of people who have told me it hasn’t been the same since she isn’t around has rallied me to get this place going and to ensure it is what it deserves to be. She doesn’t want this place to fail and she will be back to see you all soon
