Help Me Grow Hope: A Homeless Woman’s Dream to Build a Community Garden
Hello, my name is Berry, and I’m currently experiencing homelessness. Life hasn’t been easy, but I still wake up every day with a purpose: to create something meaningful — not just for myself, but for others who are struggling, too.
One idea has kept me going — the dream of starting a community garden. I believe in the healing power of growing things. A garden provides food, peace, purpose, and connection. It’s something that can bring people together — those with homes and those without — and give us all a little more dignity, a little more hope.
This isn’t just about plants. It’s about roots. About rebuilding from the ground up. I’ve already started mapping out what I’d need: soil, tools, seeds, a small piece of land, and the support of people who believe that no one is too down-and-out to make a difference.
Your donation will help me:
• Secure a space to start the garden
• Buy basic gardening tools and supplies
• Offer fresh food to others who are struggling
• Create a safe, peaceful place for reflection and community
I know what it’s like to feel invisible. But I also know what it feels like to be given a chance. If you’re reading this, thank you for seeing me. Any support — whether a donation or just a share — brings this dream closer to reality.
Let’s grow something beautiful together.
With gratitude,
Berry
