For those of you who have been following my nephew Bentley's journey, this is the update I never wanted to share.

Bentley has endured a difficult year filled with procedures and appointments, all with the goal of improving his quality of life and keeping him with us a little longer. Unfortunately, his little body has fought for so long that we have run out of options for our little man. Bentley is now under the care of a hospice team that will visit him at home, and with this transition, we know his time with us is coming to an end.

As you can imagine, his parents, Nick and McKayla, are devastated and find themselves in an impossible position. They have dedicated their lives to his care, and now they face the immense task of simply being present, loving him, and grieving as they say goodbye. As they navigate this profound loss, they may be off work for a period of time.

I have created this fundraiser to lift the practical burdens from their shoulders during this unimaginable time. Funds raised will go directly to them to help cover:

Living expenses while they take time away from work to grieve and be with their son in his final days. Future funeral and memorial costs to give Bentley the beautiful and peaceful service he deserves. Any unforeseen medical or hospice-related expenses.

In these final days, the greatest gift we can give Bentley is the assurance that his family is supported, allowing them to focus entirely on loving him, his two sisters, and each other.
