Sending out a wish for some relief for The Benson family. Jarrod and Tafeeta gave birth to twins at 24 weeks gestation by cesarean. A few short hours after Tafeeta’s water broke on December 13 th. Their hearts were torn apart when their son Jarrod Jr. had developed complications and passed away. Their daughter Ricki Jo remains at The University hospital in Iowa City fighting for her life. Tafeeta still healing from surgery and grieving their loss will need all the support of her family. With the baby being in Iowa City, they will travel many miles to continue to care for their children at home in Mason City and spend as much time at Ricki’s bedside as possible.
This heartache at Christmas time adds much stress financially and emotionally. As most of you know our family is still in great pain from the loss of Jarrod’s father in January 2017. These babies brought great joy and hope for a brighter future for Jarrod as he loves being a father and treasures his time with his girls. Tafeeta made a dream of having a son a dream come true. If you can help in any amount it would be a wonderful blessing and allow them to all breathe a bit easier.
