I'm raising funds for my Eagle Scout project at Oak Meadow Elementary. The current garden is falling apart, rotting, and not deep enough for plants to grow well. The teachers say this tool currently limits their teaching abilities. My goal is to build five deep, high-quality garden boxes to support hands-on learning and help better the education of youth in El Dorado Hills.
This project matters to me because it is a way to give back to my community while also working toward a lifetime goal of becoming an Eagle Scout. I care about creating something meaningful that students can use, and I need the financial support by the end of this year to make it happen.
In total, the garden beds will cost around $1600 without any room for error and without pizza for workers (the most important part). I assume it will end up costing around $1650-1800.
The boxes are 4x8x24 with a 2x4 trim on top. They will be made out of high-quality cedar wood to prevent rot and improve longevity.
All donations will go toward material costs for the garden boxes. If there are any extra funds, I will donate them to other Eagle Scout projects in my troop.
I have already put in countless hours into meetings, finding costs, talking with people, asking friends etc.
If you're able to help, any donation or share would mean a lot to me. Your support will help me complete this project for Oak Meadow Elementary, invest in local students, and take an important step toward my Eagle Scout goal.
- if you donate $30 that buys 1: 2x12x8
- if you donate $50 that buys the entire trim ontop of the box
- if you donate $100 that could buy the stain and finish for every single box
- if you donate $200 that buys the supports into the ground for every single box AND the trim on 1 box
- If you donate $350, I could do everything for a single box
