Benjamin’s World Challenge to Sri Lanka

Hi, I’m Benjamin. I’m 14 and I’m raising money to go to Sri Lanka with my team mates in July 2027.

We’ll be trekking through mountains, living alongside a rural community and contributing to a sustainable tourism initiative, learning about reforestation efforts and how reintroducing endangered plants to the area can boost local livelihoods through eco-tourism

— all while building leadership, resilience and independence.

It is a real privilege to have this opportunity and I plan to work hard to raise the money I need to go.

The cost of the trip is over £4500 per person and the huge challenge is to raise all the money myself.

I plan to do this through babysitting, offering odd jobs, pet feeding, saving up pocket money, car boot sales and sponsored activities.

The first is to climb Mount Snowdon in November.
