Benefit for Food Bank of Northern Indiana

The mission of the Food Bank of Northern Indiana is to feed the hungry, increase awareness of the effects of hunger and lead programs designed to alleviate hunger. The Food Bank serves 90,630 people or 12.4% of the residents of northern Indiana and 31,010 or 17.1% of the children who live in northern Indiana are food insecure. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the communities the Food Bank of Northern Indiana serves, we have seen a 50 – 75% increase in the number of households we are serving. Also, local musicians are hard hit by this crisis; with the ban on public events, their income has disappeared.  “We know people who are laid off and experiencing a hard time as a result of the COVID-19 virus. I expect the impact will last longer than we want. The demands on organizations like the Food Bank of Northern Indiana are growing. Jim Ward & I want to shine a light on the needs of the Food Bank. Concert and Dance Party will be streamed live on Facebook. 100% of these funds will be delivered to the Food Bank and the performing musicians.
