Ben Nevis Double walk and ride

I’m on a mission to make a difference, and I need your support. I’m raising money in aid of Havens Hospices and Rayleigh MTB Club, and here's my plan: I will hike up Ben Nevis, and then, the following day, cycle as high as I can safely go (weather permitting).

So why Havens Hospices? This charity has always been close to my heart. My secondary school was right across the road, so I’ve seen firsthand the incredible work they do for young people and families. The care they provide is invaluable, and they need every penny they can get. It costs around £7,217 per day to run their services, and by raising even 10% of that, we can make a significant impact on the lives of the patients and their families. 50% of the funds raised will go directly to Havens Hospices, and the other 50% will benefit Rayleigh MTB Club.

When a family faces the heartbreaking news that there’s no cure for their loved one’s illness, Havens Hospices steps in. They provide specialist care, controlling pain and offering respite. Whether it’s for adults, babies, children, or teenagers at the end of their lives, the team is there to help make this journey as comfortable as possible. This care is free, and they offer it for as long as needed, both in-home and at their hospices, Fair Havens and Little Havens.

Rayleigh MTB Club is another cause close to my heart. The club has become a tight-knit community and family, promoting fitness and helping young riders get involved in the amazing sport of mountain biking. With a vast membership base, it has helped many people get fitter and stay active. The club holds regular rides with up to 70 riders participating during the peak summer months. Rayleigh MTB Club’s focus is on encouraging fitness, building a sense of family, and getting more young people engaged in a healthy, fun sport.
