I’m a neighbour of Ben, Lydia and their kids. Unfortunately on the 11/08/25 their home in Heathmont caught fire. Despite the efforts from the amazing first responders (7 fire trucks and police on scene) the fire tore through their beloved home in minutes before jumping to their immediate neighbours, whose house was also damaged.

Looking at what’s left it’s pretty clear they have lost everything. They will no doubt have to start over completely—clothing themselves, their kids, and replacing whatever else they have lost. 

They are a beautiful young family and I thought this supportive community may be able to give them a helping hand while they try to heal and find their feet again. 

Any amount will be appreciated and all funds go directly into their bank account to ease the financial burden of starting all over again.
