Ben for Ukraine

Friends,

As many of you are aware, the situation in Ukraine has been a particular focus of mine. Since the outbreak of hostilities, I have traveled to the region on three separate occasions, the last of which brought me to the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. Despite these many journeys, I am left asking myself whether I can do more. I have spent countless hours, both in private contemplation with myself and through conversations with friends and family, and have resolved on the only choice I could accept and which in my heart I already knew.

I am announcing my plans to return to Ukraine. This will be an extended trip that will proceed from the beginning of September until the end of October. The overarching goal will be to coordinate with other volunteers to provide food and medical supplies to communities affected by the fighting. Traveling with me will be my long-term employee and friend, John, who has worked for me since the initial founding of BGD 2.0. John has been at the center of the logistics and planning for all of my previous trips to the region, and the two of us are of one mind as to the need and importance of this endeavor.

As you can understand, the cost is always a consideration when planning any travel. However, this becomes more important in light of the role we expect to perform and additional safety considerations. We humbly ask that you donate whatever you can assist us in this endeavor. Every dollar we receive will be directed solely toward our efforts to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the ongoing fighting.
