Yesterday, my wife and I (we are the Hoopers!) shared a post about wanting to bless five families with full Thanksgiving dinners. What we didn’t expect was the flood of messages that followed — dozens upon dozens of heartfelt stories from families across the county who are struggling and simply want to share a meal together this holiday. Some simply cannot get to local food banks without personal transportation. Some live in rural areas with little to no access to local organizations. Unfortunately, we are located in southern New Jersey and simply cannot deliver food across America.

We quickly realized that this was bigger than us — and honestly, we’re convinced that God is up to something magnificent, something far beyond what our human minds could ever imagine.

So here’s the plan: we’re reducing the cost of each meal to $50 per family, and will be using Walmart to ship food directly to as many families as possible as the delivery plan. We will be selecting those families as a first-come, first serve basis.  Each box will include everything needed for a full Thanksgiving dinner — because everyone deserves a seat at the table.

In light of the recent government shutdown and the negative impact on SNAP benefits, the need is greater than ever. We can’t meet every need alone, but together, we can make a powerful difference.

If you feel led to give, no amount is too small. Every donation goes directly toward feeding a family this Thanksgiving and reminding them that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.
