Mum and I are running the Bell challenge in Exmouth on Sunday 4th January 2026. Mum is challenging herself to run her first 10k and I’m hoping to run my first half marathon

in the hope of raising money for Penny Brohn which is a charity that has helped so many people and specifically my Auntie Ellen who we sadly lost in June this year.

Auntie Ellen was my godmother and one of Mum’s best friends who was kind, caring and incredibly giving even when she was going through her toughest times (still giving to charities and the food banks). She was the best friend and godmother we could ask for who is so deeply missed every day.

We chose Exmouth as Auntie Ellen loved her Caravan in Devon.

Penny Brohn is a charity that provides free, personalized, and holistic cancer care to help people live well with and beyond cancer by focusing on their mind, body, and spirit. When Auntie Ellen was first diagnosed with cancer in 2013, she was directed to Penny Brohn who helped her in terms of living with cancer and we know she was immensely grateful for all their care and would love for others to have access to this support.
