This year I have signed up to run the Belfast City Marathon 2024 on the 5th of May - all 26.2 miles of it!!
As those close to me know, in July 2022 I lost my Dad to suicide.
After spending the past 18 months struggling with grief and feeling a little lost, I am now determined to raise awareness of suicide and show support to those who have been affected by suicide or are struggling with poor mental health. It is so important to speak out ❤️.
I have therefore chosen to run the Belfast Marathon to raise funds for a local mental health charity, based in the North Coast. This charity was set up by a family who has also personally been affected by suicide, and I have been inspired by the work they have done regarding mental health awareness in our local community ❤️
Further info about the charity can be seen below. All donations would be so greatly appreciated, no matter how big or small.
Here’s to running the marathon for my Dad ✨
