Bekah Stays Alive While Running the Amsterdam Marathon

Donation protected
Hello there! I'm Bekah, and I've made the questionable life choice to run 26.2 miles through Amsterdam without the aid of public transport, taxis, or well-meaning strangers with bicycles.

...it's my friend Kirsty's fault. We were only going to do a half, but the half was sold out.

Why, you ask? Because apparently I didn't think life was challenging enough, and those seeking help from BTG need support more than my knees do.

The Training
My current training regimen involves:

  • Running until my legs feel like they're made of overcooked pasta
  • Dropping in as many humble brags as I can about having DOMS from my longest run yet
  • Calculating how many biscuits I can eat "because I'm training"
  • Checking if "marathon runner" counts as a personality trait yet

The Cause
All jokes aside, BTG does incredible work and every penny you donate will go directly to supporting their mission, while simultaneously preventing me from giving up on my training.

The Promise
If you sponsor me, I promise to:

  • Actually complete the full marathon (barring acts of God or catastrophic blisters)
  • Share embarrassingly sweaty finish line photos as proof
  • Not bang on about marathon training in casual conversation for more than 6 months afterward*

*This last one is a lie. I will absolutely be insufferable about it forever.

So please, dig deep and support this worthy cause. Your generosity means the world to BTG and will help keep me moving when my body is screaming at me to just sit down and have a nice cup of tea instead.

Thank you! ❤️
