Help Us Begin Our Family through Adoption!

We are Chris and Isabel Hoff, and after struggling with infertility for our almost 3 years of marriage, we are looking to start our family through adoption. We need help covering the massive $52,000 in fees for the agency, home study and attorney, the birth mother's living expenses, and more.

Ever since we started dating, we both agreed that we wanted to have a big family. At that time, we had no idea about all the fertility issues that awaited us. We have been married for almost 3 years now, and we still have not been able to start our family.

Back in 2019, Isabel started working with the Saint Paul VI Institute (an internationally renowned Catholic women's health clinic in Omaha, NE) because of suspected endometriosis, which poses a risk of miscarrying a pregnancy. In August 2020, she had her 1st laparoscopy, which confirmed this diagnosis. It was found to be very extensive - in 5 different places - so she had another laparoscopic surgery to remove all of it in December 2020. Following this, Isabel had to get HCG shots for about a year to try to correct her hormone levels.

During this time, we were unable to consummate until over a year into our marriage. So finally, in June 2021, we began trying to conceive in conjunction with continued treatments. In July 2022, Isabel started taking 3 different fertility medications after a new diagnosis of insulin-resistant PCOS. These medications, on top of many blood draws and ultrasounds, all took a huge toll on her physically, mentally, and emotionally. By January, Isabel hit a breaking point with the treatments, and after a heart-to-heart conversation, we decided for Isabel to be done with them.

Chris and I have been discerning adoption through much of this journey as a way for us to grow our family if we weren't able to grow it naturally. We decided that if we didn't conceive after one more month of trying, we would pursue adoption. Well, here we are, ready to begin the adoption journey!

After months of research and looking at many different adoption agencies, we have chosen to work with a Christian agency called Lifetime Adoption. Lifetime Adoption aligns most perfectly with our traditional, Christian values, and we feel so much peace about working with them to help us adopt a baby. As most of you probably already know, adoption is quite expensive. For us, even with funding through tax credits and company benefits, the total cost will still be about $32,000. We don't have this kind of money, and that is why we are humbly asking for donations. We cannot reach this goal alone.
