Hi, I'm Archer.
In about 1 month, our senior class is graduating from Pacific Bay Christian High School. Four years. Just like that. Wild!
Every senior class at PacBay leaves behind a legacy gift: something that stays at the school after we're gone. This year, our class is aiming to raise $2,000, and I'm asking for your help to get us there.
Here's the thing about PacBay that's hard to explain unless you've been there. The school's whole thing is "ambitious, joyful, engaged," and I didn't really get what that meant freshman year. I get it now. Ambitious because they pushed me into classes I wouldn't have picked on my own. Joyful because even the hard parts — finals, bad games, college apps — happened around classmates I’ve grown up with since Kindergarten. Engaged because nothing here is something you just sit through. You do it.
I've had teachers who have invested in me. I've had classmates become actual, lifelong friends. Next fall, I'm headed to UC Irvine, and I know I wouldn't be going there without what PacBay poured into me.
The legacy gift is our class saying thank you. It's us saying: we were here, this place mattered to us, and we want the next class to have something more because we came through.
(All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used towards purchasing new furniture, such as bean bags, chairs, tables, board games, etc to place inside the PacBay Study Room.)
We are reaching out to friends and family to help us do one last thing that matters before we all graduate. If you give $25, that's 80 of us in — easy. If you give $100, you've covered 1/20th of the goal. Every bit counts.
If you can't give, share this with someone who might. Either way, thanks for reading.
