Beetle Brigade

Are you tired of getting our flowers and plants decimated by the invasive Japanese beetle? Pledge $25 to the Harkness Heights Beetle Brigade and we will give you a bag of Scott's Grubex* that, if applied this spring and fall, will kill the grubs before they emerge.

We will order the bags, which contain enough product to treat your lawn twice this year, and you can pick it up at a selected location within our neighborhood. We have spreaders to loan, and if you're physically unable to apply it yourself, we are happy to help.

*After much research, we have settled on Scott's Grubex. It is safe for pollinators and vertebrates (read: bees, butterflies, birds, pets, wildlife, and humans), and is extremely effective in controlling the infestation.
