The Urban Creators is moving into our 7th year of operation, continuing to serve the North Philadelphia community through food, art, and celebration. In fact, since our founding in 2010, the Part 1 Violent Crime rate in the surrounding neighborhood as dropped by 40%!
We have transformed Life Do Grow Farm into a vibrant learning space quite literally full of life with the help of our neighbors and especially our teens.
We are raising money to extend our Summer Youth Leadership Program so we can engage with our teens throughout the year!
Every year, we sponsor around twenty teen in a comprehensive program where they learn work and life skills through a range of activities, workshops, trainings, and events covering topics such as:
Urban Agriculture
Community Organizing
Construction
Landscaping
Financial Literacy
Entrepreneurship
Community Design & Revitalization
Event Planning
With your help and support of our first ever fundraising campaign, #BeeTheChange, we hope to expand our program to a year-around ciriculum to extend our engagement and development of the next generation of Urban Creators!
