Beeson-Garcias “Moo”ving forward after Diner Fire

Support the Beeson-Garcia Family “Moo”ve forward after tragic fire overtakes family business Moo’s Diner.

On the evening of March 10th, 2025 fear struck as Tobie and Raul were notified their family business Moo’s Diner, was engulfed in flames. Moo’s Diner is a newer business, a small homestyle diner, smack in the middle of Merrill, OR. The new restaurant has been a wonderful addition to the community and quickly growing in popularity.

Moo’s is a family venture for the Beeson-Garcias. Owners Tobie and Raul, as well as their six children. Their oldest son Khieran (who regularly cooks in the kitchen), sons Oryian, Ryker and daughters Phayden, Aurora and lastly their youngest Jude (nicknamed Moo) who’s regularly
found in the diner during hours. The Beeson-Garcias have lived in the Klamath basin for 8.5 years but family roots run deep within Southern OR. Anyone that knows the family or the diner, knows Tobie is the heart and soul of the restaurant. It’s like showing up at your mom’s house to
get a home cooked meal. Moo’s isn’t the first restaurant the family has owned, however it is the first for them in the basin and was a goal for Tobie. Tobie had dreamt for years of owning a small restaurant to feed the people of the community she has lived in since she was a little girl. Tobie
loves to cook and is a true caretaker in so many ways. Filling empty stomachs with meals prepared from the heart is so fulfilling for her and Raul. The family is extremely active in the community within church, schools, sports, FFA and so much more.

Moo’s Diner has already become a cherished breakfast and lunch location for so many locals. Fresh handmade donuts and daily from scratch soups are big favorites! The restaurant location was a leased building with an option to buy following the first year. The family poured their savings and earnings into the exciting and potential dream fulfilling opportunity of a successful small town diner. The business had just started to build enough buzz they had begun to turn a corner only to hit a harsh wall of fire. Moo’s Diner was the primary financial support for not only the Beeson-Garcia family, but four employees' families as well. Following the fire they are faced with vendor bills, tremendous loss of equipment and supplies, lost savings spent on improvements, essentially unemployed staff members and the loss of income to support their general household bills and family from day to day.

The cause of the fire is still under ongoing investigation which leaves for a lot of unknowns and delays in resolve. We all know our small agricultural community is under intense strain in the current economy and so many of us are hurting. I have however seen this community pull
together to do amazing things for each other and hope we can help those in immediate need. Even the smallest donation will be a tremendous help. If you are unable to make a monetary donation, I ask you to please send prayers for the family. Help us pray for them to survive through the financial hardship as well as hopefully be able to rebuild or relocate and eventually bring the dream of the small town restaurant Moo’s back to life.
