Beeler Adoption

About 15 months ago, we welcomed three children into our home, and we are so thankful for the ways you all have supported us and shown them your unconditional love. Through hours of thoughtful discussion and prayer, we have decided to move forward with the adoption of Sirah, McKenzie, and Bentley.

Our oldest, Sirah, was in Katherine’s 3rd grade class at the time, and due to very unfortunate circumstances, the children would be placed in foster care unless a friend or family member stepped up. We spent hours talking to each other, our families, and family members of the kids and ultimately decided that this was a step we wanted to take. We applied for custody through the juvenile court and were granted custody of all three children. This journey has not all been easy, but it has been the most fulfilling experience of our lives. Since we are not certified foster parents, and the children had never been in foster care due to living with other family members before living with us, we did not qualify for any financial assistance or services through DCS. Since the children are not in Foster Care, we do not qualify for any adoption assistance through the state and are here to ask you for your support as we begin our adoption journey. We have started working with a lawyer who has estimated the total costs to range anywhere from $5,000 - $12,000.

We set up a GoFundMe account to raise funds to help lift the financial burden of this process. Since there is such an extensive range in costs, we have decided that if we raise more money than needed for the adoption, we will use any excess to establish college funds for each child. We are so thankful for the ways each of you has shown us support as our family has grown. Their lives are so rich with positive relationships, memorable experiences, and unconditional love because of each of you.
