I'm Betty Dudley, President and Founder of Bee’s Babies Essentials, Inc., a veteran-owned, faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering single parents and nurturing children through essential resources, life skills training, and educational initiatives that promote long-term stability and growth.

This March, during National Reading Month, Bee’s Babies Essentials, Inc. is launching Bee Reads: National Reading Month Children’s Literacy Initiative—a community-based effort to bring books, storytelling, and positive learning experiences to children and families in Prince George’s County.

At the heart of Bee Reads is the children’s book:

Getting to Know Bee: Bee Says… Let’s Grow in the Fruit of the Spirit — a joyful, faith-based story that encourages kindness, patience, love, joy, and confidence in young readers.

Through Bee Reads, we will host live children’s book readings, interactive literacy activities, and provide books directly to children—especially those from underserved families who may not otherwise have access to books at home.

Bee Reads is part of our ongoing commitment to support families not only with immediate needs but also with opportunities that build strong foundations for the future.
