PLEASE DONATE FOR BELLEVUE ESSENTIALS ALUMNI DINNER AT CFH HOMELESS SHELTER
It has been a tradition that the Bellevue Essentials alumni prepare and serve a meal for the Congregations for the Homeless shelter each Spring. Preparations were being made for April 30 until COVID-19 changed the way we can offer our assistance.
The shelter is still in dire need of meals for the men that they support, and we still want to help. This year, instead of preparing and serving the meal together as BEE’s alumni, past graduates Mary Jo Rerucha and Linda Hoffner have taken the lead on securing a restaurant to partner with in creating a meal. Chef John Howie and his local SeaStar restaurant will provide a warm, hearty meal for the men at the shelter on April 30, at a very generous cost.
What can you do? We need to gather the financial support to procure the meal and deliver it to the shelter following CDC social distancing guidelines. A Go Fund Me link has been created to gather donations. Please consider making a donation in any amount to support this tradition and provide the homeless men in our community with a meal that may likely not come without our support. We will be able to serve 100 men for $1,000.00. With 237 graduates, we know we can do this!
Any funds collected in excess of the cost of the meal will go directly to the shelter in the form of a financial contribution towards future meals. Thank you for your continued support of our wonderful Bellevue community! We look forward to resuming our cooking tradition next year!
