Funding our 2023 goals!

Trash People of Logan Square was founded in April 2022 with the aim of facilitating community action and connection in our wonderful little village of Logan Square.

To date, we have:

Hosted ~20 community clean up events
Picked up more than 140 garbage bags of Logan Square street trash
Donated 6 bags of metals to our friends at the Pilsen Food Pantry (for recycling & fundraising)
Hosted multiple events with our friends at The Waste Shed
Met and introduced over 200 locals that care about their community!

We have been blown away by the support and interest in this project and are excited to continue the original mission of Trash People in even more impactful ways.

We are fundraising to cover costs associated with our 2023 goals, including:

Incorporating as a 501c3, not for profit, and associated administrative expenses.
Additional supplies for our community clean ups
Developing a toolkit & providing resources to other communities & neighborhoods (in Chicago and beyond!) that want to start their own Trash People group!

Any funds raised over and above the costs of the above will be put towards developing other community-focused projects, such as the Logan Square Volunteer Fair, which we are currently organizing.

Thank you so much everyone for your support. We thoroughly believe this is just be beginning for Trash People, but the support, enthusiasm and friendship we have experienced from this project so far has been nothing short of incredible *happy tears*. We are so excited to see what more we can accomplish together!
