Because People Matter Internship

My story is one of redemption and transformation.  Over the last year, I went from homeless and addicted to opiates on the streets of Portland to life full of love, compassion and service.  Through the darkest depths of addiction and isolation, I found a new way to live in community and service to others.  October 1st this year I celebrated one year of sobriety and graduated from a year long treatment program.  Over this last year I have been volunteering with Because People Matter (www.bpmpdx.org) here in Portland.  Through the work that this amazing organization does, I found the value of humility and the joy of service to others.  I am seeking funds to continue this work with BPM over the next year through an internship.  All funds raised are 100% tax deductible and payable to our 501c3.
