The most special place in the world, somewhere very close to my heart, with people I love a lot.

Every week I get to spend time at a special needs school, where most of the children live full-time because they don’t have families to go home to. All they have is each other — and the way they care for one another is beautiful. The older ones help dress the younger ones, some push their friends in wheelchairs, and every single one of them looks out for the others like family.

Over 50 years ago, one man, Mr. Ark, devoted his entire life to creating this safe space for children with both physical and mental disabilities. He receives no funding at all — everything depends on donations.

And yet, despite everything, these are the happiest, most loving children. They’re grateful for even the smallest things — a pencil, a book, a smile. But behind those smiles is a heartbreaking truth: many were abandoned by their families, and without this school, I can’t even imagine where they’d be.

This isn’t just a school — it’s a home, a family, and a place of hope. Alongside their classes, the children learn trades like shoemaking, cooking, and sewing, so they can build brighter futures for themselves.

In the past few months, I’ve been able to buy a few children new wheelchairs, school supplies, and books due to some incredible people donating. On my last visit, though, I discovered that the children were sleeping on the floor — no pillows, no blankets, up to 14 of them sharing one room. Today, we brought them mats, pillows, and blankets, cleaned their rooms, and gave them hygiene packs with basics like soap, toothbrushes, and deodorant. You should have seen their faces — tears of joy, pure gratitude, all for something we often take for granted.

And that’s why I’m reaching out. I would love your help to keep supporting these incredible children. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a huge difference. This isn’t just about money — it’s about giving love, hope, and a future to children who have already overcome so much.
