Stories from the Beauty Parlor is changing the course. We are an organization elevating the fight of women and LGBTQ+ individuals around the world, shifting self-care to community care. Through vibrant local programming and capturing global stories of joy and resistance in beauty parlors, we will leverage the beauty industry’s $690 billion annual revenue to support grassroots feminist causes and break the 2% ceiling.

Your donation today will fund:
- Community events, our feminist book club, and grassroots fundraisers that strengthen local communities and support empowering causes worldwide, paving the way to mobilizing larger funds in our next phase.
- In-depth interviews, research, and production for our podcast series where we platform beauty artists and community leaders experimenting with new strategies to defend their rights and fight for causes such as immigration, climate change, and LGBTQIA+ rights.
- Infrastructure such as office space used to train, mentor, and support female leaders to return home and organize in their communities.
In times when extreme far-right rhetoric and policies are shifting our society, anti-women and gender movements have fundraised over $1 billion, surpassing all philanthropic funding for women’s causes. Together, we can equip local leaders, support human rights, and prepare for the fight ahead at home and across the globe.

As an example of how this work can look like you can, join our next community fundraiser in Berlin on December 6th that will support CTFA (Culture of Free Thought Association) in Gaza and Marshzhinok in Ukraine. These female-founded and led organizations come recommended to us by Palestinian and Ukrainian community members for their outstanding work on the ground catering for women's needs in times of war and genocide.
