My project is improving the garden at the Hospice Center at the VA hospital in Richmond.
The garden is currently in bad condition, and I want the area to look much nicer for people who served our country. Also, staff, visitors, and the families of these Veterans will enjoy this area too.
I’m not only going to clean it up, but I will also replace mulch, add plants and flowers, along with adding a decorative perimeter around the garden and pressure washing the patio.
This project has already been approved by the VA hospital and the Eagle Scout board of review.
I have been working with a master gardener to find native plants and flowers that will attract wildlife such as butterflies and hummingbirds.
The hospital has agreed to help with some of the finances, but there is still a bit of money needed.
If you are able to financially help my project, to ultimately help our veterans, I would greatly appreciate it. Or if you are able to help in other ways such as installing hardscapes, that would also be appreciated.
Thank you for your help to make our community a better and more beautiful place.
