Beautify Six Corners with Artful Flowers
$845 raised of
I created an art installation at Six Corners, Milwaukee Ave, Cicero Ave, and Irving Park Ave. The street pylons there seemed a bit dull to me, and when I realized they were hollow, I saw an opportunity to transform them.
I started by purchasing artificial flowers and arranging them inside the pylons.
So far, I’ve spent my own money on bunches of flowers, and other supplies.
The response from the community has been wonderful. I want to keep the installation looking its best. Some of the flowers have been removed, the Hot Dog Fest crowd may have grabbed some.
The funds raised here will help cover the cost of the flowers I’ve already purchased, allow me to replace any that go missing or get damaged, and support future public art projects in Portage Park.
Any contribution will help to beautify Six Corners, maintain the artwork indefinitely, and fund additional Portage Park neighborhood art installations. Your support is appreciated , thank you for helping make public art possible!
