Beats2Feats is an initiative dedicated to fostering cultural exchange through dance while supporting English learning programs in Bali and Cambodia. Following a successful launch in Bali, the project now aims to establish long-term educational and cultural opportunities for young participants, with a current focus on expanding its impact in Cambodia.
The primary goal of this fundraising effort is to create additional learning spaces at the location of Sacred Dancers of Angkor in Cambodia. These new spaces will allow more students to participate in both dance and English classes. The funds raised will support the construction of studios built using traditional design and building methods, honoring local craftsmanship and cultural identity while creating employment opportunities for members of the local community throughout the construction process. Throughout this process, local craftsmen will be actively involved, creating valuable employment opportunities while preserving traditional construction techniques. These thoughtfully designed spaces will serve not only as classrooms, but as environments that nurture creativity, discipline, and meaningful cross-cultural exchange.
In addition, the fundraising will enable the hiring of English-speaking tutors to strengthen language education, as well as provide further training and resources for local dance instructors. By investing in both physical infrastructure and educational support, I aim to build a sustainable framework that will benefit the community for years to come.
My relationship with Sacred Dancers of Angkor is deeply personal. I participated in their program in Cambodia, where I worked closely with the students, teaching ballet fundamentals and supporting their English learning through group classes. This experience allowed me to build meaningful connections and understand the growing needs of the organization. Witnessing these needs firsthand inspired me to launch this fundraising initiative.
Your contribution will play a vital role in helping us create these new spaces, expand access to education, and empower young people through the transformative power of dance and language.
Thank you for your support.
