Bear-Proof Cans for Kittredge Park!

Donation protected

Howdy, neighbors!

In an ongoing effort to make our little slice of heaven safer for both residents and wildlife, we've made a goal to get bear-proof trash cans put in at Kittredge Park.  The Evergreen Parks District does not have the funds to install bear-proof cans at all their parks, but are happy to accept donations earmarked to purchase and install them at individual locations.  So we are going to try and raise the money ourselves!

Each set of receptacles (one trash, one recycling) would run us around $2000, and there are currently two sets of receptacles in the park that we'd like to replace-- one by the port-a-johns, one by the picnic tables.

Donations will be collected using the Kittredge Civic Association's account for parks projects, not going to an individual's bank account.

On behalf of the bears and your neighbors, thanks so much for visiting our page and donating whatever you can!
