Help Make Smiles Happen in Nepal!

We're Moti, Dhakshyane, and Nevena, fourth-year dental students at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland, and we're beyond excited to share our upcoming journey with you.

In July 2024, we will be traveling to Nepal to volunteer our skills and knowledge in promoting oral health awareness. It's a cause we're deeply passionate about, knowing firsthand the transformative power a healthy smile can have on someone's life. Nepal, like many places, faces challenges when it comes to access to dental care and education. That's why we're committed to making a difference. From organizing workshops to providing screenings and sharing essential oral hygiene practices, we're determined to leave a lasting impact on the communities we'll be visiting.

But we can't do it alone. As students, we're facing financial hurdles in covering the costs of travel, accommodation and necessary supplies. That's why we're reaching out to our community, friends, and kind-hearted individuals like you for help. We're thrilled to be partnering with 'A Broader View Volunteers' for a dental outreach placement in Kathmandu, Nepal. Our volunteer commitment spans from July 1st to July 7th, during which we'll dedicate a week to making a positive impact.

A Broader View Volunteers is a volunteer non profit travel organization based in the US specializing in meaningful volunteering abroad travel programs. They offer over 345 programs across 32 countries ranging from Medical, Dental, Nursing, Human Rights and etc.

For our upcoming trip to Nepal, there are several key expenses to consider. The initial investment of 2000 euros will be allocated towards acquiring essential supplies such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, fluoride mouthwashes, medications, exam kits, gloves, and other necessary items. These provisions are fundamental to ensuring we are well-prepared to contribute effectively to the volunteering efforts during our time in Nepal. Additionally, the round-trip flights from Dublin to Nepal come to a total of 1050 euros per person. Lastly, there's a registration fee of 980 euros per person, which covers accommodation and food provided by A Broader View Volunteers.

Your contribution, no matter the size, will directly fund our journey and enable us to provide vital oral health services to those who need it most. Your generosity will help us bring smiles to faces and improve lives in Nepal.
