UMBS is a non-profit organization that wants to bring beaders together. This year we're undertaking a project larger than anything we've done before!

Beaders and non-beaders all over the world have come together to make a mile-long beaded chain. It will be long enough to go around the Mall of America in Minnesota! Our goal is to promote peace and harmony through beading. We're currently past the halfway mark, but we need all the help we can get! If you are unable to donate monetarily, we are in need of volunteers for the day of our Grande Connection. Please contact us if you are interested.

Our deadline is August 6, the Day of Peace in Japan. On that day we'll be unveiling this project in the Mall of America's Grand Rotunda, and it will be displayed as an art installation before it is shipped to Japan and placed in the Hiroshima Orizuru Tower that overlooks the Atomic Bomb Dome.
