Hi,
My name is Corum Champion and I run a small surf school in Porthcawl, South Wales on Sandy Bay a.k.a Coney Beach.
The beach has thousands of visitors every year, people visiting the fun fair, the beach and and our beautiful town. We have many visitors that have difficulties accessing the beach due to our soft sands.
Over the past 3 years that I have been running my business we have received some amazing reviews from all over the world, I received this one this morning from Frances Davies;
"My daughter loves going there and the coffee is nice to, i'm hoping that they will be hiring out the disabled wheelchair as I miss going swimming in the sea as I'm an amputee now and a disabled wheelchair would be great for all disabled people."
Go fund me gives tips on how to ask for your help, one of it's pointers is to share how the support would help me!
It's not for me! I'm not going to try and dress this up in flowers to ask for help!
Just please see what one of these wheelchairs could do to someones day, this is not going to be a money making scheme, it's just a "Let's make someones day" sort of plea.
Patrick Evans of Coney Beach funfair is going to help and we will do some money raising events in the near future.
I am going to donate 20p from every coffee I sell from now on until we reach our target.
If everyone who follows the Coney Surf facebook page donated £2 we would reach our target in no time and purchse our communities first beach wheelchair and start making waves for people!!!
