❄️#Be the HOPE! Paterson Homeless Blanket Drive❄️
Donación protegida
As of August of this year, over 4000 people in Paterson NJ are currently unemployed, and many more are homeless (Bureau of Labor Statistics). This winter, the needy in YOUR local community of Passaic County depend entirely on homeless shelters to keep them warm, if they are lucky enough to find them. As for those who aren't, they're going to be facing the elements day and night, alone, unless YOU take the initiative to make a change. In this society, there are problems everywhere we may look, but solving these problems are what builds character in a person. Recently, I was traveling through Paterson as I scrolled through an Instagram post of a child freezing from the cold in Afghanistan. As I looked out the window, I saw multiple homeless people out on the streets struggling to stay warm, realizing that as important as it is to help others far away from us, it’s even more important that we help those close to us. There’s a saying that states, “The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.” In order to make an impact OUR society, we must come together as a group, contributing little amounts to make a bigger difference. With this idea in mind, I've created this fundraiser in hopes of buying quality and warm blankets for the homeless in Paterson and delivering them to Eva's Homeless shelter. ALL proceeds will go to buying the blankets, and any additional blankets raised will be distributed to anyone else who needs them. The date of the distribution is on Saturday, 1/21/22 and the fundraiser ends on Wednesday, 1/18/23. Any donations are much appreciated by not only me but the homeless who will receive them. Be the hope this winter and do your part by donating, whether it be a dollar, 100 dollars, or even spreading the fundraiser too.
**Gently used and new blankets can be donated at JMIC, on 110 Harrison St, Boonton Nj. Physical donations can be dropped off on Sunday’s, from 10:30 Am to 1:30 Pm.**
