Hi, my name is Krystal and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of a young woman only 20 years old in our local community who has endured more than most people face in a lifetime.

After dropping out of school at the age of 14 to care for her siblings after her mother fell into alcoholism, she has been working tirelessly for years, not for herself but to support her family and keep a roof over their heads. Recently, she discovered that the rent money she had contributed had not been paid and now she is facing eviction. Her mother is now critically ill and on a heart monitor vest, and she still continues to carry the emotional and financial responsibility of the household while trying to find food and stability for her siblings. We just got her enrolled in college and she is working full-time and overtime when she can get it.

This fundraiser is to help her secure safe housing, afford basic living expenses, and support her return to school. She would never ask for help but I am on her behalf. She is strong, determined, and incredibly selfless — but she deserves a chance to rebuild her life.
