The outpouring of love and support has been moving beyond words. Our family and friends are absolutely the best! Please know that we hold each of you dear to our hearts - even if we have not met.
This is for our wonderful son Chris and beautiful daughter-in-law Hailey Carr, in care of our strong beautiful granddaughter Evelyn, including her biggest supporter - her brother, Christopher (aka Nubby). Your outreach has been truly inspiring. It has made us realize that you want to help our beloved family. Many have reached out and asked how to help from a donation perspective. Therefore, we are starting a GoFundMe for them. This is something we have thought long and hard about - everyone has made it very clear that there is so much love and support for our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your kindness, love, and prayers. With your support, we are trying to relieve some of the financial stress from Chris and Hailey with their expenses. We have received a generous, anonymous donor that will match all donations up to a total of $5000. Which is truly a blessing. We are grateful for any amount that you can donate. And please if you cannot donate, we understand 2020 has been a Challenging year. Say prayers for Evelyn - our fierce, sassy, feisty lovable granddaughter.
For those who may not know yet, Evelyn went for her 2 year check up and the doctors found she has a large abdominal mass. After many tests she has been diagnosed with metastatic neuroblastoma cancer. She has a long road ahead of her which includes chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, radiation, and surgery. They are hoping to relocate back to the East Coast in a very short time frame. Chris serves in the Navy. The Navy has been very supportive through all of this. However, expenses are inevitable. They have already been faced with several expenses and unfortunately these expenses will continue.
Thank you for all your love, care and support and especially your prayers please keep them coming. Evelyn is fighting strong! She will be tossed in the waves and will NOT sink!! Be brave in the waves our precious Evelyn! Grammy and Gpa LOVE you!
