Sponsor a Square Foot for a New Roof for Our Day Center!
For 25 years, Family Promise of Wake County has served families experiencing homelessness. We provide a full continuum of programs to assist a family experiencing homelessness achieve safe stable housing. Our programs include emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent housing, which are all complemented with intensive, supportive services and aftercare to ensure a family's success.
To provide successful services, we need support maintaining our two facilities. The first goal is raising funds for a new roof for our Day Center ($250 per square foot). Our Day Center provides a place for those we serve to receive case management services, pursue employment, shower, and do laundry. The Day Center provides guests with a mailing address and a base for housing and employment searches. There is a kitchen, living room, family room, teen room, an office for job-searching with a phone as well as a computer to work on resumes.
We remain one of only two emergency shelters in Raleigh to allow families to stay together, regardless of the ages and genders of the children and parents, sparing parents the difficult choice between keeping their families together and finding a safe place for their children to sleep.
*Additional funds received over the cost of the roof will be designated to continued maintenance and renovation needs of our two buildings - The Day Center & Transitional Housing Apartment Building.*
