Hello, my name is Mohammed Hajjaj. I am a survivor of five wars, yet I’m unsure if I will make it through this one. I’m writing this message from the south, where my family and I were displaced from northern Gaza after two months of war.

Today, our situation in Gaza is beyond imagination—there is no food to feed our hungry mouths, no clean water to quench our thirst, and no medicine to treat the injured who are being neglected.

During the first months of the war against Gaza, I managed to buy canned food and other stuff from my savings, as I’m the only breadwinner of the family after my father died of cancer while I was a university student.

My family consists of three girls and I have one brother, all of whom are students at the university.

There is my sister, Fatima Hajjaj, who is 21 years old and studies human medicine.

Her twin, Aisha Hajjaj, studies pharmacy.

There is my sister, Omaima Hajjaj, who studies English commerce and is one of the top in her class.

Finally, my younger brother, Ahmed Hajjaj, is 19 and studies computer engineering.

But after 18 months of the war, the food and my savings were finished. The price of food and other basics for our survival render me helpless to manage our life in this dire situation. I refused to seek any help or assistance before, but now I think I have to do anything possible to support my family، and restore what remains in our lives.

I am afraid this is our last opportunity to survive. We have lost everything, but your donations can help save our lives.
