BD4PP is our community's annual 24+ hour fundraising stream! This year we're streaming in support of The Greater Chicago Food Depository & my local garden, the Mockingbird Meadows Community Garden on Saturday November 8th, 2025 (starting 9 AM Eastern Time) over at catgirls.cam!

Since March this year, friends and neighbors have rehabilitated a large set of vacant lots in the Kingsessing Neighborhood of West Philly. What started as this:

In only 6 months, now looks like this!

Our goal is to connect with community, build something collective, and feed our neighbors. Over the summer growing season, we've grown & shared corn, eggplants, squash, zucchini, peppers, and almost more tomatoes than we can give away! We've done an incredible amount of work with not a lot of money, relying on our members to source items free or near-free at the cost of a great deal of their time, effort, and sometimes their own pocketbook. Your contribution would allow us to buy hardware, pop-up tents for events, soil tests, and many other things that have so far been out of our reach.
