In the spring of my freshman year in high school I suffered a pretty devastating concussion during a soccer game. I lost my memory for several hours but improved with time! During the fall season of that same year I experienced my first seizure. I've had them ever since and doctors have had trouble resolving them. I've had extensive testing, ER visits, and hospital stays, however these events are still not under control. As a current freshman in college, I am responsible for myself most of the time. Walking to class alone can be dangerous for me as I can sometimes fall out very unexpectadly, like when crossing the street or climbing stairs. A service dog would tremendously help me in regaining my indepence and in giving myself and my parents peace of mind while I'm away.
