BC4Afghans Toy Drive Fundraiser 2022

The holidays are fast approaching, and BC4Afghans is excited to launch its second annual toy drive for Afghan refugees. For many refugees, holidays can be an isolating time, away from home and loved ones. In addition, many of these families are under significant financial strain considering they are starting their lives from scratch. Afghan refugee families should not have to miss out on the magic of the season due to financial concerns. In efforts to continue spreading the joy and spirit of the holiday season, BC4Afghans is raising funds to purchase toys for children.

In the past two years, BC4Afghans has earned the trust of many Afghan refugee families, and we are heart warmed with the meaningful connections we made with over 200 children. We are reaching out to you, our beloved community, to support us in creating long-lasting memories for these children new to British Columbia.

Our first toy drive was successful in gifting toys to over 135 children. With the increasing number of Afghan refugees calling BC home, we aim to increase that number to over 200. With your support, our goal is to raise $4,000 for this year’s toy drive. Please take a second to donate or spread the word. We are grateful for all your generous donations. With your help, we can continue to provide assistance to Afghan newcomers.

WHO WE ARE:

BC4Afghans is a local grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the settlement and integration of Afghan refugees through several initiatives, including providing hygiene and household necessities, facilitating temporary housing, employment, civic engagement and educational opportunities, and advocacy work.
