BC Health Care Matters BCHCM is a community advocacy group. We are not a non-profit or charitable organization and therefore cannot issue tax receipts.
Our purpose is to advance and support all activities and actions that foster timely access to appropriate health services for every resident of British Columbia. BC Health Care Matters is a grassroots campaign advocating for access to in-person health services for every resident of British Columbia WHERE they need it WHEN they need it.
Many residents of BC have been waiting for years to secure a Family Doctor, without success. Now, many more who were fortunate enough to have a Family Doctor in our community are left without. This Family Doctor shortage is affecting those without a Family Doctor, those with one, Hospitals, Emergency rooms, walk-in clinics, access to Specialists, and access to medical treatments.
Not only are families’ well-being at risk, but our thriving community as a whole is at risk. We must be healthy to contribute to the economy and our community's social and cultural life.
We are made up of volunteers who are worried that every BC resident should have timely access to a family doctor now.
Funding will be used for: lawn signs, developing community and government information packages, hosting: speaker events, demonstrations and rallies, advertising, PR and marketing, legal and accounting fees, online platforms that facilitate marketing and messaging, and any other needs of the Society.
