Bayview Beach - Shore Oaks Mosquito Fund

Hi Bayview Beach Neighbors,

It's that time of the year that we are looking to kick-start the mosquito abatement program in the subdivision for this summer using the GoFundMe process. Clarke Environmental has treated the subdivision for over 40 years & has advised me that they have sent out donation letters to residents in both Bayview Beach & Shore Oaks. Last year, we raised just enough funds using their mail-in process to treat just 6 times throughout the summer - which got us to July 4th.

When I became the neighborhood contact with Clarke back in 1986 & was the person actually sending the mailings out to residents, we had great participation from the subdivision that resulted in the neighborhood being treated weekly from Memorial Day through September for many years, with some holiday weeks being treated twice. While we'd love to get back to that frequency of treatments, we would like to treat at least 15 times this summer.

Needless to say, with Clarke not offering an online way to donate, I feel that offering residents an online option through GoFundMe would make it easier for residents to donate to the cause. Clarke is recommending of $73.00 per household, but any amount is greatly appreciated!

I would like to start treating the neighborhood no later than Memorial Day, so we are looking to start getting funding as soon as possible.
