British SkyDiving Ambassador - Johnny Buffong, one of the few Black British Skydivers will be skydiving on Friday 26th September to raise urgently needed funds for www.Bayo.uk — a vital platform that connects Black young people to mental health support, resources, and culturally relevant services.
Bayo.uk is dedicated to breaking the stigma, increasing access, and empowering young Black individuals to get the help they desperately need and deserve and because there has been an increase in demand for suicide support we are asking for your help!
Our aim is to raise £10000 to:
- Train additional course facilitators to cope with demand
- Provide extra culturally relevant accredited suicide prevention training
- Expand awareness and access to safe, culturally competent services
But as little as £4000 can go a very long way to reduce the immediate risk of a suicide and increase the support for a person at risk.
This skydive is more than just a personal challenge — it’s a symbol of hope, courage, and change. We know that mental health will impact every single one of us but some communities are more likely to be underrepresented, misdiagnosed, or left out of the conversation. Bayo.uk exists to change that and your help is needed.
