Bay Area BMXers After School Workshop
Thanks to the generosity of amazing folks like yourself, we had fantastic results with our "Flood the Streets with Bikes" campaign last year! For 2019, I’ve decided to take it a step further and get the kids even more involved.

I have the opportunity to lease an Oakland warehouse from a generous friend, who is offering us a 50% reduction on the monthly rent. This space will become our first after-school workshop! While the workshop is based on cycling and promoting a healthy lifestyle, we also realized that there is a real need for after school assistance with homework, and understanding classroom subject matters. As a result, we’ve decided to work with local community college students who will tutor the kids.

This 4,700 square foot facility will be used to its fullest potential to bring our community what it has needed for a long time: A place where kids can be kids, but receive help with their education at the same time. There will be no video games, and no being absorbed in your phone. Kids will actually interact with one another – like when I was a kid!

The owner of the warehouse is holding the space for us until June to provide proof that we can make it happen. That proof consists of insurance, utilities, and a few minor repairs – then we’ll be ready to go! I know this is extremely short notice (it’s May 3rd as I write this!), and our financial goal is high, but the opportunity came up quickly, and I’m hoping that through word of mouth (and word of screen) we can make this happen!

With your assistance and generosity we are making a real difference in kids lives with “Flood the Streets with Bikes”, so let’s take it to the next level and keep these kids excited about being active, and about learning!

Thank you in advance for believing in me, and my passion, and for showing your continued support for the kids! Please donate if you can (any amount helps!), and PLEASE share this with friends, family, social media channels, newspapers, the local news, podcasters, etc. The more the merrier, right? THANK YOU SO MUCH!
