As a long time activist, I couldn't stand to do nothing during this ongoing immigration crisis. Every dollar donated here goes directly to asylum seekers to cover their basic needs. 

They walked thousands of miles, they presented themselves legally to one of the most terrifying immigration processes that exists. We’ve called ICE to demand their release from horrific detention centers and then we’ve took them into our homes. Now we need your financial support to keep their cases going through the long and arduous asylum court process.

A small group of bay area activists started this fundraiser to help support asylum seekers who are currently living with and being supported by us in the Bay Area.  The need for these financial resources is urgent and ongoing.

Donations help cover costs of everyday items, clothes, medicine, lawyers and application fees. For example, did you know it costs about $400 to apply for a work permit as an asylum seeker? And asylum seekers must wait over 180 days before they are legally allowed to work if that permit is approved.  Your financial support goes a long way to helping these courageous individuals thrive.
