Beth, a young mother with two beautiful children, aged 8 & a newly turned toddler, has recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
Beth is a beautiful, well respected member of our community, who is much loved by us all. She shows courage, strength and resilience each and everyday. She works extremely hard to support her young family. She gives to our community, and contributes effortlessly on a daily basis. It’s time for us to help her, a helping hand to get through this extremely difficult time.
Beth is due to start receiving treatment immediately, with recently having surgical treatment. As a result of the ongoing treatment, her partner will have to reduce his working hours as he will provide the support she needs to provide care in Beth’s recovery and crucial assistance in aiding Beth with daily life as well as providing care for their two beautiful young children. As someone who is self employed, her partner will take a large reduction in pay, and as a result, the financial stability of the family will be largely impacted, we aim to relieve the stress off Beth, allowing for her to recover and put her main focus in recovery, and her battle against breast cancer.
As someone who is immensely caring and compassionate, Beth has suffered with Post Natal Depression, and we, as a community, aim to be her crutch, and provide support, not just financially but mentally to Beth and her family during this time, and we need your help in doing so.
With the upcoming stress of treatment, increasing household bills and outgoings, we aim to give a helping hand to Beth, and plan on doing so to the best of our abilities as she fights, and shows strength and courage, something we know Beth will do. We want Beth to create memories with her family, to watch her children grow up to be an example of the amazing woman Beth truly is, and we believe that as a community, we can come together to raise funds to allow Beth to do this - we are part of the fight, we refuse to allow Beth to fight alone.
As someone who has had the honour to watch and admire Beth each week in our sessions at the hub, during our playgroup, I admire her mothering, the way she holds herself, and the true strength this woman has - I know the capabilities of the community, and I truly believe we can come together to make this ever so difficult time more bearable. Her positive mindset, and outlook shows that she is going to fight her battle and not allow Cancer to win - she is a true inspiration. I simply cannot sit back and allow Beth to face her battle with fear, pain or struggle, we aim to make life just slightly more bearable with fundraising.
